Wow, I find something new everyday

I was looking at my Twitter and saw that one of the quilters I am following was using #talknt. So I did a search and found my first tweetchat. How cool is that!

I am now following the Talkin' Tuesdays blog and will be looking in to it for next week. I don't have time right now to fill out the form and submit my info but sure looks interesting.

I was busy today. I took some time to get my pictures all in one place. So I wanted to share some Show and Tell:

I made this Quillow for my Nephew a couple of years ago for Christmas. It was one of my first 'big' projects, and I am so proud of it.

If you look really close at the back picture, you should be able to see that I matched up the fabric on the pocket backing to live up with the backing of the quilt. It was a very proud moment for me.

And here it is folded up into the pillow. Kinda cool huh?

Here is a better pic of the pocket backing. The seam runs along the top of the Firehouse and down past the Airplane wing tip and trough the Yellow House.

I am playing around to see if I can upload pictures and have them work in the blog.

I took this photo a couple of years ago, when I first moved into my sisters basement. I have always loved it but have never found a use for it, because it is kinda grainy and poorly lit.

So here goes. I will find out in a few moments if it works.

Hopefully more pics will end up in my posts.

I have moved into my own place, my new place. It has been almost a month. When I asked the landlord what was included in the rent, she said; hydro, cable, and wifi. The truth is I am grateful that the hydro is included but have very little use for the cable, cause I consider watching TV to be a huge waste of time. But the internet. I have a lot of stuff that I do on the internet, I have my blog, Facebook, Twitter, and there is my quilting and crafts that I am always looking for new stuff. So the wifi is included? What a farce. I had internet access for 5 days at the beginning of the month, then it went down for 5 days, then back up for an evening, then down for another week. So needless to say I have had internet for 7 days out of 24 that I have been living here. This is a very exciting time in my life and I want to have a record of it. So I am looking forward to back-posting some of the stuff that happened in those weeks, just for posterity.

I will start having some free-time, now that I have all my stuff out of the storage locker. I know I should be spending the time getting unpacked and settled into my new home, but I just can't resist. I want so badly to share my new experiences with this cool journey I am undertaking.

I have such big plans. I am a major procrastinator. "Why do today, what I can put off til tomorrow." Well at this point in my life I want more, and I deserve it.
